Chinese Media Landscape, Helsinki University (2014 April)
Together with Xianwen Kuang, PhD Research Fellow at University of Southern Denmark, we designed and gave a seminar on the Chinese media landscape at Helsinki University.
The seminar explores the development and features of various forms of media in China and the increasingly popular online social media. Case studies will be introduced to help to understand the interactions between the media and other institutions, the market and the state. How Chinese state media have shaped the views of foreign audience on China and the Chinese will be discussed.
The 2012 Global Debate was a headline event during the Danish EU presidency with more than 400 attendees from Europe and Asia.
